Ray Ban Glasses and Eyewearbrands.com Review

This post is just me babbling about my new glasses which i LOVE! I've worn glasses for ages for long distance vision for years but my optician said due to the strain of swapping between having my glasses on/off I should wear them as much as I can. So I decided to get some Ray Bans...

I got them from Eyewearbrands.co.uk for £92.50, less than half the price I would have paid for the exact same glasses from Boots opticians. They also come with free anti scratch and anti glare, AND free delivery! As for delivery time, I was expecting to wait weeks... I ordered them on the 26th and they came yesterday Saturday 30th! I am seriously impressed and will definitely be using the website again to order a second pair, the website is really easy to use you just need to get the prescription from your optician so you can enter it when ordering the glasses. They were also packaged really well in two thick bubble wrap envelopes, with a Ray Ban case and cleaning cloth.

What do y'allll think? I am in love with them and am going to try to wear them all the time except when going out at night etc :)

This Week's Haul

As I was running out of both my Wake Me Up foundation and Collection 2000 powder, I popped into Boots to restock :) I was hovering around the Bourjois 123 foundation for a while but ended up buying Rimmel's Lasting Finish for £6.99 and I'm very happy with both the results and the price! I also finally got round to buying the Rimmel Stay Matte powder which is raved about a lot, which I agree with as it is brilliant.

I have a job interview on Tuesday and was going to go buy myself a blazer anyway, but my  Mum brought home this one from F&F at Tesco reduced from £20 to £5! It looks really smart and has a nice tailored cut, and I like the stitching details. I'm planning on wearing it with a black dress and tights but I will most probably put up an outfit post on the day.

I have a black pair of these 'Vans' style Primark trainers that I wear all the time for college etc, so thought I would pick up the burgundy ones too, seeing as I have a lot of burgundy coloured clothes to match. They're only £8 and my black ones have lasted me a few months without too much damage which I think is amazing value for money.

Also from Primark I can't remember exactly how much this tee cost, but somewhere around £6 sounds about right. I got it in the size L because I wanted it to be really baggy and comfy which it is.

Again from Primark, I think this bag was £12, it's really nice and big so will fit my college notepad and junk inside and I just love carrying around a big bag :)

Obviously I know it isn't summer yet but I bought these Wayfarer-shape sunnies for raving, I love the neon pink accents that are only visible from certain angles.

That's the end of it, as always a lot of Primark stuff but what can I say - I'm on a budget here! Please leave a comment if you would be interested in reading a review of the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation/Stay Matte powder?

Barry M Greenberry & Leopard Print Nails!

The thing I love most about the 'Gelly' nail polishes is how long they last without chipping. I first tried Greenberry on it's own, and 2 good coats lasted me about a week before I had to take the nails off for work anyway! I also do think it feels a bit thicker and smoother on your nails once dried, and has more shine to it than regular nail polishes... but you can judge that for yourself from the photos!

Loving a bit of Sims action going on in the background...

A few days ago I also decided to have a go at doing leopard print nails, using Greenberry again with a bright pink polish and my Models Own black nail art pen. Sorry this picture is from Instagram as it's the only one I took, silly me.

Have you tried any of the Gelly nail polishes? What is your favourite colour? :)

Also just a quick reminder; I am giving away a Barry M Gelly nail polish in Blueberry as part of my 100 Followers Giveaway, this giveaway closes at the end of March, so get entering if you want to win!

Casual OOTD, Featuring the £5 Shirt

This outfit is really simple but I thought I would post it to show this bargain shirt, reduced to £5 in George at Asda :) It is more of a pale pink than the photo shows, I love the sheer sleeves and detailing around the collar. I wore it with  a pair of black Primark super soft skinny jeans (but think it might look better with something high waisted?) Primark studded flats and this cute skull bracelet from a previous New Look sale I think.

Primark False Nails Review

I didn't expect much from these nails at all, and thought the quality would probably be rubbish as they only cost £1. However I was actually quite surprised that they didn't look too bad! I really like the short length of them because I have really long fingers that I hate, and usually have to spend ages filing false nails down so that I don't look like a witch haha. I had planned to just paint over these straight away, but ended up leaving the butterflies for a few days before painting them cos I thought they looked cute :)

Here was the outcome, the excess glue bits look really shiny with flash but I got rid of them afterwards just by rubbing with nail polish remover.

What do you think? Have you tried any of the other Primark false nail designs?

P.S I'm currently running a giveaway which closes as the end of March, if you follow this blog you can automatically claim one entry!

Going Out/Night Time Look

I went out for drinks last night, only in my town to good old Wetherspoons then onto a local bar which is more like a little club. I thought I would share my make up and outfit as it's somewhat of a rare occurence for me to get all dressed up!
(I usually go to drum and bass rave/events on weekends which I guess are sort of an acquired taste, so I don't really blog about them - let me know if those outfit posts would still interest you?)

Anyway onto the makeup, I'm wearing my purple dressing gown in these photos if you're wondering haha because I always do my makeup before I get dressed. Also please ignore my eyebrows, as my full fringe is clipped back here and I'm currently growing them out!
I applied black liquid eyeliner first, then false lash tips (only on the outside ends of my lashes) and applied mascara. Then I used metallic silvers, grey and black eyeshadow to create a smoky look - ooh la la. My foundation looks really white but I think this is just the flash, and I'm wearing Collection 2000 Cream Puff in fairy cake but again this was a lot brighter in normal light.

False nails and dark red nail polish... This will sound weird but I never put false nails on my thumbs, because I just never get on with them and the simplest of things becomes awkward to do like texting etc! And I don't think most people notice anyway.

I ended up putting my hair up in a high messy bun :)
Stripy Peplum Top - Primark £6
Black Leggings?
Black Fur Tim Wedge Heel Boots - New Look (last year)
Gold Crosses Necklace - Primark £2
Clutch Bag - Internacionale (last year)

With the girls, and we all turned up in leather jackets haha!
